The Murli

Avyakt BapDada 25th November 1995

Today, BapDada is looking at all those who are the children of the Father, those who are special souls. Whether they are from Bharat or from foreign lands, whatever corner they may be in, BapDada sees all the special souls as being very close to him. BapDada is happy to see His special children, just as you children are happy to see the Father. This is why you come running here.

No matter how many miracles the scientists show – even though they may have reached the moon – in front of the special children of the Father, they are ignorant. They know the five elements, and have even attained victory over them, but have they come to know about even a tiny point of light, the soul? Here, even if you ask a little child they will say “I am a soul” and they would even show you where the soul resides. But ask a scientist “what is a soul?” – he does not yet know the soul. So, in terms of the great history, and in terms of this world, you are special. A five year-old child is more special than one who does not know the soul.

At the beginning, you all had a very intoxicating song: no matter how great a lord or a merchant, a leader or an actor, someone may be, if he doesn’t know Alpha, if he doesn’t know himself, what does he know? So, you are such special souls. A mahatma would say that it is very difficult to attain God, but here you old mothers say you have attained God. They may continue to search for God, but you have attained God. So what is the mahatma compared to you?

Householders say they sleep on a double bed, yet are still pure – even whilst living together, the Father is in between you. A mahatma would say it is impossible for fire and cotton wool to live together. You say it is easy – you say with intoxication that purity is your original religion. Whatever belongs to the self is easy to follow.

Some children say that for one year until they meet the Father, they remain all right, as everyone knows that discipline is a must. However once they have been to Madhuban and seen it, they become careless on their return. But just think about it – to who did you make the promise of purity? To the Father. It is the Father’s order. If you become careless after having made a promise to the Father, who would experience the loss? It is those who are weak who experience loss, whereas in the Brahmin family, when one leaves, ten others come.

The new children who have come here for the first time, raise your hands. There are many of you. It is a matter of great fortune that you have reached the Father’s home. Continue to increase your fortune. Achcha. Teachers have also come. So everyone’s name is included in the register. Which centre does not keep a register of those who are present? Teachers be honest. Sometimes they may have fallen asleep – sometimes they may have not been well – sometimes they may have not been able to attend class – does this get noted daily?

After three or four months, all the new ones you bring here, whether brothers or sisters, are initially intoxicated, and then the intoxication gradually wears off. And so, after three or four months, check whether they come regularly, or if they have gone touring somewhere. Many do go on tours – they go on the pilgrimage of Maya for two years, and then come back. Only those who remain eternally receive an eternal reward.

Completion will take place at the same time for all of you – destruction will take place at the same time. The board for being late has been put up, but the board for being too late has not yet been put up. So, all of you are lucky. Simply continue to move forward, whilst keeping your fortune in your awareness. Do not get involved in other matters.

BapDada sees why children’s time for making effort goes to waste. Everyone wants their time to be used in a worthwhile way, but in-between, sometimes half an hour, sometimes fifteen minutes, sometimes five minutes are wasted. There are three reasons for this.

One is, whilst moving along, you mix the dictates of other souls with shrimat. Just as you love listening to news of the world, you also love listening to news of the Brahmin world. So you listen to others, and merge what you hear in yourself. Now, of course, it may be true news – not all of it is false – some may even be honest. But, what is the Father’s direction? Is it Baba’s order that you may listen to such news? No. Whatever you have no connection with, if you cannot do anything about it, it is a waste of your time. Why did you mix the dictates of others with the shrimat received from the Father? The Father’s direction is that, whilst listening, you should not hear. So why have you instilled the habit of hearing it?

However, if you do listen to them, and you are able to do something about it, then do it. When you listen to them, you should have the courage to apply a full stop, in them, and in yourself, for all time. If you have this much power, then it is not listening to them, but you are bringing benefit to them. However, the majority of you collect rubbish, and little by little this affects your behaviour and activity. And there will be heaviness, and no feeling of serving that soul. This is known as mixing the dictates of others with shrimat. Is this clear?

The second aspect is thinking about others. If you hear something from one person, do not relate that to nine or ten others – this should not happen – this is thinking about others. If you tell four people something about someone, you spoil the feelings of four people for that person. And once the thinking of others starts, it becomes very fast, and carries on for a long time. BapDada tells you that, in order to make someone interested in listening to knowledge, you should relate the knowledge in the form of a story. Their interest will increase as the story unfolds – they will ask what happens next. In the same way, there is interest in the stories you tell about others – they will ask you what happened next. And so the story becomes a very long one.

BapDada sees and hears whatever is in everyone’s heart. No matter how you try to hide it, BapDada sees and knows everything, though he does not reveal it openly in public. BapDada has a register of how many times you did something, what you did, and when you did it. It is just that sometimes he has to keep quiet.

Someone who thinks about others will not have thoughts of the eternal self. When anything happens, they will blame others for their own mistake. And those who think about others are number one in making up stories. They will prove themselves right in such a way that even the seniors who hear them will have to remain silent. Having thoughts of the original self does not mean repeating, raising, or hearing, points of knowledge – it means to finish your own subtle weaknesses and your little mistakes, by thinking about them, and then transforming them. All of you are very clever in hearing and relating gyan, or churning gyan. But the deep meaning of having thoughts of the original self is to be thinking about the original self, and to transform the self. It is to bring about transformation – do not just think “I am yours and your are mine”.

When the final result is announced, the first marks will be of your being a practical embodiment of dharna. Those who are an embodiment of dharna will be natural yogis anyway. So check what you relate to others about values. There is one mark for service, but ten marks for being an embodiment of dharna.

Service is a very good means of keeping the intellect busy, but if it brings fluctuations then there is no fruit from it. True service done with love, and with everyone’s blessing, gives the instant practical fruit of happiness. If there is ill feeling whilst doing service, then that is like flu. Someone with flu goes to sleep – he will not eat anything. When someone has ill feeling, he will stop eating or will sulk. A true server will be an embodiment of dharna, and will not do service out of selfish motives, such as glorification of
their name, or to be kept at the front.

Service will come to those who are true servers – you will not have to chase after service. If you receive no service to do, you should still serve with your face and with your behaviour – they should remind others of the Father – this is the foremost service. You have to be such serviceable souls who have no selfish motives. Do not think you should be given a chance – this is also selfishness. Even if your name is not well known in the Brahmin family, Baba has your name. Since your name is in Baba’s heart, what more do you want? BapDada keeps the final account, and when the final number is given, if you are a good server, your number will be ahead. If you were not given a chance, that is also noted. If you asked for a chance, and did something, you lost some marks by doing that. The account of Dharamraj is no less. It is avery subtle account. You have to be an altrusitic server – your motive should be to bring benefit. If you give your chance to someone else, then you will share in what they do. So, understand the account. The account book is very subtle. The Father does not have to do anything. Everything is automatic. Sometimes BapDada looks at the account book – the first aspect is following the dictates of others, and the second aspect is thinking about others.

The third aspect is looking at others. The majority of you are very clever at looking at others. When you look at others, it enters your intellect. How can those who use their time in looking at others have time to look at their own self? Many children see and hear many things which should not happen. It is right to say they should not happen, but why spend time on this? All of them are a test paper. The greater the study, the harder the paper. It is all right to look and listen if it is your responsibility and you have benevolent feelings. But otherwise it is wrong to create an upheaval in your own stage. If you have a responsibility, then before taking on that responsibility, make your brake very powerful. Before you climb a hill you are warned in advance to check your brakes. Check whether you are able to apply a dot in one second. If it is a question mark then your time and energy are wasted. First of all, make your brake powerful. You saw something, you heard something, and applied a full stop. If you have such a stage, then take on that responsibility. Otherwise, see but do not see, hear but do not hear. Maintain thoughts of the original self. There is benefit in this.

Finish these three types of things to do with others, and instead do one thing: uplift others. Be one who uplifts everyone. This is not easy – BapDada thinks that it is difficult. But if you have courage then what is a battle? Even a battle becomes entertainment, like a boxing fight – they fight so much with each other and yet for them it is a sport, and those who watch think that it is entertainment.

BapDada is telling you in advance what reduces your marks, and what accumulates them – so at that time you will not be able to say you did not know this. Anyone can claim a high number – apart from Brahma Baba and Jagadamba, the seats are not yet fixed – all the other seats are empty, and anyone can claim a seat. Even those who are one year old can claim it.

BapDada is happy to see the Kumars and the Kumaris, but he is afraid of one little thing – there should only be one Father and none other, not even a little bit belonging to someone else. To need the support of another is great Maya. Like the story of the alligator and the elephant, it eats you little by little and then it swallows you up completely, and you won’t even realise it.

For the new ones, the murli is very deep, but in the Diamond Jubilee. BapDada wishes to free all of you from everything. If you do not do this he will have to take on the form of Dharamraj. At the moment, Baba is telling you with love. Why should you not become free whilst there is still the form of the Father? The older ones think that BapDada should do something so that everyone becomes all right. But Baba does not want this. Baba does not want to be taking the form of Dharamraj. He can punish everyone internally in one second, and that punishment would be very intense. But BapDada does not want this. The form of the Father is very loving. If Dharmaraj becomes his companion, he will not listen to anything. Do you understand?

To all the special souls from all directions of the world, who constantly have thoughts of the original self – to the elevated souls who constantly churn the knowledge – to the close souls whose every thought word and deed is according to the shrimat of the Father – to the special souls form all four directions who make themselves and service move forward in the Diamond Jubilee – to such special souls, BapDada’s love, remembrance, and namaste.

(Dadis)
You are the special decoration of the divine family. BapDada loves each child more than the next. It is not that he has more love for the Dadis and less for the teachers or the students. He has love for everyone and does not wish to see the children lacking in anything – this is why he gives these teachings. For whom is there greater love? For everyone. Even though BapDada cannot make everyone sit close to him, and he cannot mention everyone’s name, everyone is in his heart. All of you are close to the heart. Do you understand? Achcha.

Avyakt BapDada 16th November 1995

Filed under: Summaries — themurli @ 1:00 am

Today, BapDada has come to meet his loving and co-operative children, who constantly have the remembrance of the Father in their hearts. The Father has as much love in His heart for the children, as the children have in theirs. He gives love equally to everyone – from amrit vela onwards, he gives the children number one love. However, children imbibe love according to their own capacities. Those children who imbibe the love of the Father in their hearts, from amrit vela onwards, are not attracted by any other love, because their hearts are full of Godly love. Those who do not fill their heart completely with love, but leave it even a little empty, are still attracted by the many forms of love for Maya, either in the form of other people, or in the form of material comforts.

If someone gives you a diamond in one hand, and a ball of clay in the other hand, which one would you be attracted to? You would be attracted to the diamond, not the clay. Yet it is good to play with clay, isn’t it? So are waste thought diamonds or clay? You play with clay, because you developed the habit. Other bodily beings are also of clay, are they not? The clay merges with clay. They may be beautiful to look at, or have beauty in their specialities or virtues, and so you have a little love for them.

You may be impressed by someone’s service, but without belonging to the Father, could they have developed that speciality? On the path of ignorance they cannot do as much service as you can, when your virtue or speciality is filled with knowledge. You have to fill your natural virtue with knowledge. So who is this gift from? Who is the bestower? The Father.

Some children are even pulled to the old world by their attachments. However, the majority do not get as far as the old world, only a few return there. For the majority of you, attachment takes you towards carelessness in your efforts. Then you start to justify yourself: “Baba – you do not exist in the corporeal form – we have such huge bodies an you are just a dot – we have to do everything through our bodies – we are corporeal and you are subtle, and so we need someone in the corporeal form. O.K. we may not need many people, but we do need one person”. Do you need one person? Those sitting at the back, do you need one person? Do you need anyone? (We only need one Baba).

Of course, you have the Father, but many times the corporeal form of something comes up in your mind, and then your mind becomes heavy. And then, until you lighten your mind, you are not able to have yoga. What would the doctors say if you are not able to vomit, but you have that sick feeling inside? If your stomach becomes heavy, should you vomit and let it all out? Doctors also say that you should vomit it out. Achcha.

All of you are doctors of the mind. So tell me, if there is any confusion in the mind, where should one vomit? Would you vomit in front of Baba? Would you vomit in Baba’s room? Where would you vomit? And if you are not able to vomit, what then? BapDada takes the side of the children and feels that, at that time, you definitely need someone. What should you do if the Father does not listen to you? Many children complain that Baba did not listen to them – so what should you do then?

In fact, if your heart is full of Godly love, Godly powers, and Godly knowledge, if there is even a little space, then there cannot be attachment or love for anyone else. Many say “we do not have attachment, but we do like them”, so what would you call this? Should you be given this much freedom, that you can like them, without having any attachment? You can sit with them, talk to them, and enable them to do service – you enjoy all of this, so should you be given this freedom? Pandavs, should you be allowed this? Mothers, speak! Consult your grandchildren. Those sitting at the back – should Baba allow this much freedom? BapDada can give you this freedom tomorrow. He can give you it today. Those who think they should be allowed this freedom are embarrassed to raise their hands. So write a note to Dadi privately and tell her. All of you are saying no – just be careful, everyone’s photo is being taken – you are being recorded on video cassette, saying no. So will you do it again? Will Baba have to send you the video to remind you? Or will you remain safe? Are you sure?

BapDada wishes every child in the world to become free of attachment to other beings, and to the facilities. To use the facilities is one thing, but attachment is something else. Even if the Himalayas fall, you should have the courage to move away from the side of the Himalayas. So do you have this much courage? Teachers should speak first – students are happy that BapDada is telling their teachers something – the teachers are companions – you became a teacher to co-operate.

As you progress in today’s world, the foundation of purity of all those souls who have called themselves religious souls, great souls, will shake a lot. It was the same at the beginning – Brahma Baba was insulted a lot because of purity – otherwise, in his earlier life, nobody, even those of senior age, had the courage to raise a finger to him. And then, because of purity, he had to accept the insults. Purity is the newness of this Godly knowledge. Even though cotton wool is living together with fire, it doesn’t catch fire. You issue this challenge. Those who are couples, raise your hands. Are all of you issuing this challenge, or will there be a small fire, and then you will extinguish it? You are challenging the world are you not?

So what will you do in the diamond jubilee? Become free from attachment. You already had a year for becoming free from anger – BapDada saw many who had a little of this – even then, he allowed you to get away with a little of it this time. To those who paid attention, BapDada gives even more than multi-millionfold congratulations. All of you are connected with Madhuban, by the telephone of your intellect. Those who had the determined thought of being completely free from anger, received special help from BapDada. Baba congratulates all those who demonstrated, in practice, being completely free from anger.

Now, do not think that you have finished anger for one year, and that now you are free. When you are completely free from attachment, then you will be automatically free from anger. The reason for anger is that your thoughts, whether the are right or wrong, are not being fulfilled. You may not have gross anger for anyone, but you get irritated, and you have waste thoughts. So that is not purity. You can offer ideas, but do not change those ideas into your own desires. When your thoughts become desires, then you become irritated or even show anger through your words, or hand signals – that is the gross form of anger. Give your ideas without any selfish motive. Otherwise, jealousy and hatred and the other companions of selfishness will follow. If you have made the discipline of purity firm, and become free from attachment, then there won’t be any attachment about what happens.

BapDada is able to see many new things on His T.V. Sixty years are now being completed, and Baba is able to see new games a lot these days. Baba will tell you of each one this season – he will not tell you all of them together. But remember, if you have the slightest attachment or selfish motive about anyone, even in your dreams, then finish it.

If you have any wasteful or vicious dream, or a dream of attachment, then you must definitely have been careless before you went to sleep. So, check that you went to sleep having given BapDada your chart of the whole day, and having made your intellect free. To come home tired, and immediately go to sleep, is carelessness. The Father’s direction is to always make your intellect clear before going to sleep. Give everything to the Father, whether it was good or bad, and empty your intellect. Just give it to the Father, and go to sleep with the Father, not by yourself.

When you sleep alone, you get dreams, and wa
ke up in the morning with a craving for purity in your heart, because your purity was broken in your dream. When you sleep with the Father, you never get such dreams. So do not become careless. Do not fall sleep talking of news – interesting news is always wasteful. This is disobeying an order. You can talk about it another time, in another room, if it is something essential, but not in your bedroom – do not share this whilst in bed. Many children have this habit, and BapDada can see how every child goes to sleep. Through his T.V., BapDada tours the world in one second, and sees everything of how you go to sleep, and how you talk. He tours every centre and every household. Everything of your home appears on the T.V.

So, BapDada spoke of amrit vela, the beginning of the day, and of the end of the day, the time of going to sleep. When the beginning and the end are all right, the middle will automatically be all right. If you stay up until after midnight totally absorbed in talking about things, then when you wake up at amrit vela, you spend half the time in the land of sleep and half in yoga. Those who go to sleep with carelessness will be careless at amrit vela also. BapDada is watching you. Because sleep gives you a lot of peace, it also gives you a lot of happiness, and so it becomes mixed. Go to sleep in time, and you will get rest and will awaken refreshed, and will feel very fresh in yoga.

To the long lost and now found elevated souls in all directions who are merged in the Father’s heart – to those who surrender every desire of theirs and of others, by constantly obeying every order of the Father – to those who constantly make the pillar of purity strong – to the special souls who spread the light of purity by being lighthouses – to those who make themselves free from attachment, and thereby come close to the Father and remain close – to such children, love, remembrance, and namaste from BapDada.

To all the children everywhere who have sent letters of heart felt love and remembrance, special love and remembrance from BapDada.

Avyakt BapDada 7th November 1995

Filed under: Summaries — themurli @ 1:00 am

Today, BapDada, the ocean of love, had come to meet his children, who are the embodiment of love. The Father’s love is merged in all the children. Love brings the children close from being far away. When you were a bhagat soul, you were so far away from the Father – this is why you were searching for him everywhere. Now you are so close that you say with sparkle and intoxication “my Baba is with me”. Furthermore, you cannot stay without Him.

The children don’t wish it, but every now and then they play the game of hide and seek with the Father – their eyes close to the Father and remain open to Maya. However Baba is merciful towards the children, and makes you move away from Maya in one way or another. Maya makes you unconscious, and Baba makes you conscious – he enables the closed eye to open with the magic of remembrance.

Do you have multi-millionfold love? The proof of your love is to become equal. One who has love for another will be ready to sacrifice their life for them. Are you ready to do this? BapDada does not take anyone’s life, because you have to do service with your life. The sign of love is to surrender yourself completely, meaning to do what you are told. Love means to do everything that the one you have love for likes.

BapDada is amazed at one aspect, even if only for a short while. You are told that you should not become amazed, but even BapDada is amazed. He has to play his part. Baba says that he only wishes you to surrender yourself in one aspect. So what does the Father like? Purity. Purity is the foundation of knowledge, and the special preference of father Brahma and Shiva Baba. The definition of purity is very deep, and includes faith, honesty, cleanliness, introversion, etcetera. However, BapDada sees that the definition of purity is not very clear in your intellect. To have waste thoughts, or to be an instrument to create waste thoughts in others, is not purity. So, all of you should put the significance of purity in thoughts into practice.

If you examine it, each of the five vices, from lust through to attachment, first enter through thoughts. These are waste thoughts. Anger also creates waste thoughts. Lust means to have wasteful vision. Even now, the majority of you have waste thoughts based on the five vices. And it is common for gyani souls to have arrogance of their virtues or specialities, and show weakness in terms of wanting name and fame. This can show as feeling insulted. So, these are just some of the main sources of waste thoughts.

Make the foundation of purity strong. Because of this newness of purity, father Brahma had to accept so many insults. The vow of celibacy is just the start – as you progress you must firmly establish purity in your vision and attitude – this comes from purity in your thoughts. Let your thoughts become filled with knowledge and power. Do not give excuses, but find solutions.

Even matter has become tired. All its energy is now finished. So matter and the elements are making a request to you souls, who are the masters of matter, to hurry up. Do not take so long! Achcha.

To the souls in all directions who are the embodiment of multli-millionfold love – to the special souls who constantly make themselves free from all obstacles and remain absorbed in the love of the Father – to all the souls who surrender themselves out of love for the Father – BapDada’s love, remembrance, and namaste.

(Dadis)
There is a great need for maturity at present. Mother Jagadamba remained very mature. Even if she did less service than a lot of you, the virtue of maturity enabled her to accumulate in her account fully. Many people do a lot, but they lose half or three quarters, or all of the benefit from it. You give lectures, and have developed the habit of speaking a great deal, so you speak whatever enters your mind. However, the impact you create through maturity cannot be created through words.
